About
I specialize in designing creative, individualized lessons for elementary students who are struggling to learn and use phonics. My backgound includes Orton -Gillingham training and 30+ years of experience in reading intervention, especially with students with dyslexia. My approach is highly sequential, cummulative, intensive, and as multisensory as you can get for being online. In the last 2 years I have begun to work with 5 year olds and am excited about the successes in this area. I always give a free session with prospective parents to ask questions and view the types of activites I have created.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I take the time to explain to the student as well as the parents that dyslexia therapy involves going back over principles that the student might at first thinks that he or she knows. This process is most necessary to make sure that any small gaps in learning have been closed to build a solid foundation. The principals in these lessons will be presented in a unique way and as fast paced as the student's ability will allow.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
- Masters of Education with a major in Learning Disabilities.
- Training at Scottish Rite Dyslexia Center to be an academic language therapist
- 25+ years working with dyslexic students in public school, private schools, and privately.
