I have a natural gift for explaining advanced concepts in a way that can be understood by the student. My BS degree in Mathematics was attained Summa Cum Laude with a GPA of 4.0, and I have over 25 years of experience.
What I enjoy most is seeing the "light bulb" go on when a student understands a concept that they have been struggling with. I believe that any student is capable of learning mathematics successfully. They just need to have the concepts explained in a way that makes sense to them. Different methods work for different students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I review the material submitted to me by the student that is giving them difficulty. There is no fee for my preparation time. I then cover the material with the student, being careful to explain all concepts in a way that they can understand. I also look for gaps in their previous learning that might be causing their current struggles.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Mathematics with a Statistics minor, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA.

How did you get started teaching?
I was an employee of the Mathematics Department in the tutoring center for the University of North Georgia.
What types of students have you worked with?

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I tutored a young man who had made in the 40's on a recent geometry exam. He was being given a chance to retake the test the day after I met with him. We worked together for an hour and a half, and I found serious gaps in his foundational understanding. He made in the 80's on his second try.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone who not only knows their subject but is gifted at explaining it as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should look back over the course of their study and try to figure out just where it was that they began to lose the understanding of what exactly they were doing. Mathematics is a subject which heavily builds upon prior concepts. A grasp of each concept along the way is necessary for success. Gaps in understanding make moving forward virtually impossible.
