EZ Math Tutoring
About
I've been teaching Math for 15+ years and teach the higher levels of Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus AB/BC. We go step by step making sure you understand the math and not just memorizing steps. The objective is to learn what the math is telling us. It can take time but you'll get it.
I have a Master's Degree in Teaching and I'm also a National Board Certified Teacher in the higher Math Levels. I also have a YouTube channel: it's mostly for AP Calculus, but will be expanding for the other math levels.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I cater to what the student needs and desires. We can work on homework only or develop more complex topics so they can master the content. There isn't a magic pill to it, just time, hardwork and patience... they'll get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master's degree in teaching and nationally certified in the highest math subjects at the high school level. I usually teach AP Calculus AB/BC and Pre-Calculus along with Algebra 2 and Algebra 1.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$50/hr
How did you get started teaching?
I never wanted to be a teacher. After playing professional baseball I did substitute teaching and fell in love with it. I enjoyed it and it came easy to me. I enjoy interacting with the students and encouraging them in their pursuits.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types, mostly middle school to high school. I've tutored from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just relocated to GA so nothing recent but I'm hoping to visit the Ark encounter in KY and I'm excited about that trip.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Always ask what's their philosophy of teaching. Anyone can do the problem but teaching it in a way that's easy to understand is challenging.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I willing to work hard and put in the effort required to succeed? There's no cookie cutter shortcut that will erase years of neglect in school. It's baby steps and you have to be willing to put in the time and effort.
