About
Hi, I am Natasha! I am a recent graduate from Medical School giving board exams for Residency. I owe a lot of my success to great mentors who guided me throughout the years. They taught me that asking for help is never something to shy away from, but rather the key to success. The more one learns, the more one progresses. I've always believed knowledge should be shared and never kept. So with that, I started tutoring students when I was in high school, at American Heritage, as an act of giving back. I didn't realize how much I loved it, until my first student, who was in 6th grade at the time, came back from her final exam with an A after starting the year with an F. It's the little wins that make the big ones so much more worth while.
I have been tutoring for 10+ years in both Elementary Math (particularly grades 4th-7th) and Science (Biology, Life Sciences) helping students build their foundations, because without that, the road ahead becomes very long. I have been teaching students on a one to one basis, allowing them the privacy and confidence to hone in on the particular difficulties they may be facing and create a specific plan beneficial to them. I strongly encourage any resources and suggestions that may help cater to the students specific need.
Having a medical degree and previous experience with students that may have learning disabilities i.e. ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, has allowed to me to reach out to a huge set of students that some tutors may not have been able to help. One thing to keep in mind throughout all of this is that, patience is key. Rome was not built in one night, and neither will understanding math and science. I, however, will walk with you through each step of the way.
As for what I am like as a person, I've always found different ways of helping the community, probably why becoming a Doctor has always been the main goal. My hobbies include being a national winning pianist, building legos, watching the NBA, reading, and binge watching TV shows.
