What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing for oral communication lessons is $30 an hour, but for writing classes the price is $35 an hour. The interview and the first class are free, so that the student and I have the opportunity to know each other, and the student can decide if I fit its learning style and expectations.
How did you get started teaching?
Teaching has been my passion and my career all my professional life. I retired from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, where I taught Spanish grammar, and writing and business communication courses. As a college professor and also as a writing, proofreading and copy editing consultant, I have always been engaged with the education of young and adult learners.
