I would like to know your child's reading level and a copy of a current Reading assessment..if not available..I can assess..
Really important to know what your child's interests are in reading..Fostering a love of reading is extremelt helpful and necessary.If I could have knowledge of what your child's interests are so that they will have interest in what materials I will use.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
CERTIFIED K-6 elementary teacher..I am retired, however I'm in process of renewing my educator certification for an additional 5 years..

My fee is 40.00 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I graduated from Cal State Los Angeles University and within 1 month had relocated to Florida and began teaching..
This was a second career as I went back to College to become an Educator..
What types of students have you worked with?
All of my teaching has been in Title 1 schools..these students have traditionally been with struggling or low Social Economic students..
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I receive several messages from the parents of students that I have had the opportunity to educate thanking me for the foundations and consistency that I gave to their child..
Nothing can compare to their gratitude and acknowledgement of my skills.

I love asking the student how they feel about their reading ability.
I also want to know what is frustrating for them..
