About
Hello my name is Elizabeth and I am a new doctor. I have a Masters and Bachelors in Health Sciences, and an Associates in Nursing. I have been tutoring my peers and below for 2 years and would love to help you as well. I can tutor in most highschool subjects, and prefer to tutor in science subjects at the elementary level.
By tutoring through Zoom we can conveniently meet anywhere!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First I will email or text the student instructions for downloading the Zoom app for our meeting location.
Next I'll ask for information about the subject and specific topics the student needs assistance with.
Lastly, we will arrange a meeting time to sign on and start our lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied nursing and pre-med at the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) and then Health Sciences at Bellevue University for Bachelors and Masters. I am a new Doctor of Chiropractic as well.
I have worked as an EMT in a special needs facility, and as a nurse in Family Practice, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular surgery, Oncology and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My online tutoring is
$20 and hour for elementary students,
$25 an hour for highschool level and undergrad,
then $30 an hour for graduate level courses.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started tutoring by helping the special needs office in undergrad. I was a note taker for a blind student and pretty soon began sharing my notes with other students as well. Daily, I assist my special needs child in her middle school coursework.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with my own children who are in elementary & middle school, as well as undergrad college level students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't overpay. Some tutors charge $40-$60 per hour and that seems outrageous to me.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Before meeting with your tutor make sure you have read all the materials first so it is not completely new to you. Write down what you don't understand so we dont waste time on what you already know.
