I am con-currently enrolled in D.O school working on my doctorate while going to Oriental Medical school working on my Masters. Education is one of the most import aspects of my life. From a young age I understood and valued everything education has to offer, with this enthusiasm I enjoy helping others see their true potential. With an integrative and interactive approach tailored to each student I believe I can help motivate students and encourage them to be the best they can be.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love getting to know each client and ascertaining their needs specifically. Once I get a feel for what they are looking for I love giving them options to choose from so the content is exactly what they are looking for.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have always loved education, and it has been one of the most important aspects of my life. I am currently working on my Masters of Oriental Medicine, I have a Bachelors in Cellular and Molecular Biology and have matriculated though Nursing school.

How did you get started teaching?
I was fortunate to begin my education career for a wonderful company called Varsity Tutors. I was connected with all kinds of students and exposed to many different needs. I learned how to address and tailor each students needs specifically for them. In addition I have worked in the past as a nurse and a majority of nursing is patient education. This was something I became very comfortable with and incorporate it into my teachings.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have had the pleasure of working with people of all ages. Children, teens, young adults and the older population. I have had experience working with children and teens with developmental disorders, Autsim spectrum disorders, PTSD, and dyslexia. I have a. Special interest in complex cases as well as individuals with mental or learning diabilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I was fortunate enough to speak to the House of Representatives and Congress in Florida. To discuss the positive health benefits of acupuncture and oriental medicine and their abilty to help in our states opioid crisis.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find a tutor who has experience working with the subject you need tutoring in. Also find out if they are able to accommodate any special needs or request. This is important as tutoring should be individualized and customized for each and every student.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Does the tutor have the qualifications you are looking for? Are they flexible to accommodate to your needs. How committed are they to your success?
