Master Science Tutoring
About
I am a teacher so I can relate what I look for in the classroom in a one-on-one setting focused on your learning. I am flexible in meeting so we can meet in person or online and tailor a tutoring program to fit your needs. I can also assist with other sciences including chemistry, biology, anatomy, microbiology, cellular biology, and physics.
I enjoy working one-on-one because it allows me to really get to know a student and to help them not only with the school material but also learn other skills like critical thinking, problem solving, test taking strategies, and self-confidence. As you see increases in your scores, you will begin to feel more confident in yourself!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get a sense how they have been working on their own. This allows me to see their work and study habits. I also like to see trends in material that they are needing assistance with to see if there is a common foundational knowledge deficiency.
While tutoring, I do not just focus on content review, I also provide test taking strategies and problem solving strategies. As a teacher, I have a good idea of what teachers are looking for, important information relevant to the Florida education standards, as well as critical thinking for testing. I want to ensure that not only you understand the material but that you can apply it on a test or quiz because that your grades ultimately rest on that .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I currently teach high school biology, physical science, and anatomy. I have a bachelors degree in microbiology and a master's degree in biomedical science.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say to look for a versatile instructor who can utilize many different resources. Also, look for someone that can observe your learning style and tutor to your strengths.
