I grew up in Puerto Rico with Spanish as my first language. I loved movies, games, TV shows and other types of content that were only in English, so I slowly learned the language. Then when I became 20, I decided I wanted to learn Japanese! It was so much harder to learn a language at that age, and to do so actively rather than organically as you grow up.
