The Epiphany Excel Center was founded in support of students and families managing disabilities.
Over the years, our educators have developed innovative research based programs that are found in over 600 schools in the United States, schools in Puerto Rico, and Japan.
We have tutored children with Autism spectrum disorders and helped them get ahead in school. Subjects included Reading and Writing to improve hand motor coordination.
We use an Orton Gillingham reading program called Spire, that address the needs of readers at differing levels.
We have a new autism program, that replaces self stimulation behaviors through learning to make choices, and training your will instead of the the reward, and consequence methods.
As a non-profit we offer very reasonable/ affordable rates. And flexible schedules.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first step is to get to know a new student and find out what their academic goals are and what particular learning challenges would do they have to overcome to achieve those goals.
For students with special learning needs, I prefer conducting an intake interview with a parent or guardian first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have been working with students with special learning needs for over 40 years as educators.
Through the years, we have developed many programs to address autism, executive functioning, social skills, study skills and test taking strategies.
I have certification in social skills from AFIRM (Autism Focused Intervention Resources and Modules).
I am also the co-creator of a new Autism program, that is based on training the will to make better choices, rather than just the reward / consequence model.
I have been working with students with special learning needs in a school setting for over nine years as well as in person and online learning.
I designed a social skills program based on the tv show, C.S.I. It teachs students how to problem solve, work in a team and think critically.
I got the Step Up for Students teacher excellence award in 2018.
