About
Through my tutoring sessions, I aspire to connect with students on a personal level. Learning is more than simply studying a textbook or lecturing - by working with me, you will gain the skills necessary for your academic endeavors through a personalized and passionate manner.
From recent experience, I know the difficulties and stress of a rigorous high school experience. In the past four years, I can help your student in prioritizing their time and efforts efficiently.
I have professional experience in tutoring students for six months and an extended history of volunteer tutoring positions with fellow classmates in areas of algebra and statistics. I have completed Level 1 in CRLA's Tutor Training certification and will be completing Level 2 in April.

Effective tutoring is a strong relationship between a student and a tutor. Acting as a mentor in this relationship allows for a unique and powerful impact on the student as he/she grows and gains the requisite knowledge to succeed in their efforts. Similarly, it gives me the opportunity to grow myself into a better tutor so I can better assist my current and future students.
I want to inspire and excite my students, and through this relationship, I strongly believe I can make a difference in my students' academic capabilities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process is personalized to each student, but the first session will almost always follow an identical format.
Typically, this first session is around half an hour long and covers what the student needs, their past experience and knowledge in testing or course content, their schedule, and a recommended number of sessions per week or month.
The session will end with a defined plan for continuation of tutoring to provide you and your student with security for the future.
Over the course of the next sessions, I will increasingly tailor my approach depending on how I feel the student will progress best. Whether this means I will be requesting that they solve more problems using a certain study method or switching up learning styles, I strive to make each tutoring session the best use of time for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In my current employment, I have completed the College Reading & Learning Association's Level 1 Tutor Training and will continue the process of obtaining Level 2 later in the spring.
In terms of testing accomplishments, I obtained a 35/36 on the ACT and 1570/1600 on CollegeBoard's SAT. I am a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
