About

My name is Isabelle Weiler and I am currently a Senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Pensacola High School. I am looking for a summer job to help prepare students from grades k-10 with the upcoming school year. I am able to travel, and enjoy working with children. I have an experience in tutoring all ages.

I enjoy fostering a love of learning in young minds. I understand that certain subjects can be difficult, and I strive for the "ah-ha" moments. Something I enjoy most is seeing students realize where they went wrong, and see their growth and confidence as a learner.

Frequently asked questions

I typically begin with getting a child comfortable to speak to me. I understand that meeting new people is hard, and I want your child to be familiar with me. After starting to become comfortable with eachother, I will gather some data on what your child needs help with. I am able to tutor many subjects, and will perpare worksheets based on whatever material needs to be studied.

I am currently a senior in high school, and have a 4.5 GPA. I am part of the International Baccalaureate program - which is one of the most difficult education programs available in the world - while also taking multiple AP courses. I have tutored for two years on a volunteer basis, and have been able to increase AP course grades from a "C" to a "B" and a "B" to an "A."

Ideally, I would like to work for $15 per consecutive hour. I will not charge extra money for additional courses, and/or changes in the course that I am primarily tutoring. I am flexible, and willing to discuss pricing.

I am part of the National Honor Society at my school, and have volunteered tutoring hours through that organization. I have "unofficially" tutored for much longer, and enjoy one-on-one learning.

I have worked mainly with high school students, but have also tutored for first grade.

Choose someone that you feel comfortable with. It is much easier to develop a love for learning if you enjoy your tutor.

Students should develop a list of topics that they have not mastered. Most areas of study build on one another, so it is important to know the basics before moving forward. Be honest with yourself and your needs. After working on the topics that are not solid, then move on to discussing the topics that you want to learn. I would also appreciate to know any troubles with learning, or any troubling experiences so that I can better understand the student's quirks.
