Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with new students I always like to know their background, why do they want to learn Spanish and their goal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am studying a bachelors degree related to this. Also, I have experience with teaching Spanish (mainly kids)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is 15$/h, but it can vary depending on the situation.
How did you get started teaching?
I decided I wanted to be a teacher because when I was younger I struggled with learning English but thanks to all the support I had from teachers, tutors, and my family I was able to make it. This is when I decided I wanted to do the same for others, motivate them and show them that it is possible.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly with kids (pre-k to high school)
I also helped college students with English (non-native speakers)
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Just make sure is the right one for you. Being able to pick your own tutor is a great thing, because you can pick the one that motivates you to learn more about it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What is their goal and if they are wanting to work hard for it
