I am a passionate educator with 25 years experience. I specialize in increasing students' academic levels by using individualized methods to meet each student's need.
My educational experience includes a Bachelors in Elementary Education, Masters in Educational Leadership and Certifications in Special Education and English as a Second Language.
I have taught grades: K, 2nd, 3rd and 4th in Dade and Broward Counties in Florida. Currently, I am an ESE Specialist in Orange County Florida.

How did you get started teaching?
I started my careeer as a substitute teacher to determine my area of expertise.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types: at risk, gifted, high achieving, below level, exceptional students, various income levels, limited english, behavior challenged, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My last IEP meeting with a student, their parents and teachers was heart warming. The parents were frustrated with their child's progress. After speaking with the student and teachers it was discovered that the student was dealing with self esteen issues due to their exceptionality. As a team we developed a plan that not only met their acadmic needs but also their social needs. The parents and teachers expreseed their gratitude in the time and attention to detail that was given to make their child feel special.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Students' should come to each session with an open mind, a deisre to learn and a willingness to be challenged.
