I am a college student majoring in education and minoring in History and I love working with Middle and High School students!
I love working with students and being able to be a positive role model in their lives. I also love the social sciences and history. Combining passions for students and social sciences seemed like a perfect fit.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by getting to know that student by asking them questions and I give them the oppurtunity to do the same.
I then ask the student in what content area and specific questions that they have. From there I look at the individual Florida standards that they seem to be struggling with and help them meet those standards.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Senior at UCF in the secondary education program.
Minor degree in history, three more credit hours until minor is satfied.
I am a certified archery coach and have been working with youth in archery for 4 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
11$ an hour is base.
Might be slightly higher if asked to travel longer than given distance.
How did you get started teaching?
I began working with youth in my church and loved working with them. I then moved on to the summer camp setting and expanded to middle school aged children and the love/passion for education only took off from there.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was working with a seventh grader in a civics class and was there to assist this students engagement with the class. I mananged to help him answer several questions and he was thrilled that he did something in class.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that they are passionate.
Understand Cause/Effect
