Troia Science Tutoring

Recent graduate with Master of Science in Biotechnology, Bachelor's in Biology with Minor in Chemistry. I have a passion for teaching and helping my students be successful. I like to break down concepts, make material relatable, and help guide students to figure out things on their own so they can grow as an intellectual and critical thinker. I have recent experience as an adjunct at a local nursing school, teaching Anatomy and Physiology as well as Microbiology. Currently, I teach high school full time for Biology, AP Biology and Chemistry. I am a believer in visual learning and personalized education. It is important to figure out what works best for you!

I enjoy both the academic and mentorship aspects of teaching. I want my students to know that science can be fun and does not have to be scary. I love the 'aha!' moments when the information clicks and the student feels a sense of accomplishment. Building relationships with my students helping them to reach their goals is what drives me as an educator.
