About
I love teaching chemistry! I have over 17 years of teaching experience in teaching different levels of chemistry courses. One of my strength is to engage students at the interpersonal level and provide an individual lesson plan. I can also break down the complex concepts so the students can digest the information easily. The most recent award I received is the Outstanding Two-Year College Teacher from the Orlando Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS). I strongly believe everyone can learn chemistry.
I love to hear students say "I can do this, it's not too bad","Oh I understand it!, "This lab is awesome", and "I am excited about learning next topic". I enjoy this part of teaching the most when my students get an aha moment. It is extremely rewarding to both myself and the students.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will find out how the student is currently doing in the class and what s/he is struggling with. This will allow me to come up with a lesson plan (this may include lecture notes, worksheets, and other resources) for the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught AP and IB chemistry courses in high schools. Currently, I teach introduction to chemistry, general chemistry 1 and 2 at local community college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a free consultation for the first meeting. This is where I ask students series questions to figure out what would be the best plan for the student. Then I charge $60 per hour for a session.
How did you get started teaching?
I am originally from upstate NY and I was working as an organic chemist at Bristol Myers. Due to a personal reason, I move to Daytona Beach and was not able to find a chemist job in the area. I got a job as a high school chemistry teacher and fell in love with teaching since then.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with high school students, college students and students who are coming back to school to work on getting a new career (all different ages).
