What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask the student where they are in subject matter, then work from there. I review foundational concepts, then build the student form there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified in Math 6-12. This is my 17th year of teaching.

I charge $30 per hour.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught kindergarden for 2 yearsfresh out of college; then went back to the business world, while substitute teaching. In 2000, I started teaching middle school. After 4 years, I worked primarily worked with high school students, whom I still teach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with special education, gifted, and socially and economically diverse students. One year, I was a teacher aide for the autism unit.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of being an extra in my first television commercial. I have been training to be an actor, tough it's part-time currently. I shot in a golf commercial.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a tutor in your area of expertise?
Look for someone who genuinely cares for your academic and personal growth, and knows what they are teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to tutors about their needs?
Have I done everything I could do personally in order to succeed before hiring a tutor?
Will tutoring help me understand the concepts if I don't study on my own as well?
