Professional certified science teacher. 17 years experience. 2012- 2013 Polk County Teacher of the Year. I believe every student can excel in Science when they are able to make it applicable to their personal lives and experiences. I have found that Students learn best with a hands on approach and USING science is the best way to learn it. To promote interest and understanding, I can bring the lab to you or you can come to my classroom to experience the Florida curriculum in a way that is fun and exciting. Grades K-12. Outdoor lessons offered too!
I love learning and discovery. Teaching science gets me outdoors, in the ocean and exploring the wilderness. I love what I do and I hope I can bring my passion to life for you too.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will get to know the students individual academic strengths and weaknesses then tailor the lessons to help develop the skills needed to excel in science.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina and am certified to teach Science Education.

$45/ hr for 1 lesson
$35/ hr for 2-4 lessons
$30/ hr for 5 or more lessons.
