About
I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Florida International University. Since then, I have worked on a few political campaigns, at a law firm, and for a local city government.
My tutoring career started 5 years ago. I have tutored students from Pre-K-12 individually as well as in a group setting. Most of my students request help with math, especially Algebra. I have experience tutoring for the SAT and ACT as well. Tutoring is a great opportunity for a student to get individualized attention and help in an area that they are having difficulty in, and that is how I work through my sessions. I work to help the student get an understanding of what they are learning. I provide examples and tips to help engage the student and make learning the subject matter easier.
I enjoy helping people succeed, but it is a team effort, so I can't take all the credit. Seeing my students go from frustrated and failing to relieved and passing is the greatest compliment I can receive.
