About
I enjoy teaching others because education is really a gift. I also believe that by helping an other learn, I am allowing myself to be taught as well and I love to learn.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get to know the student before jumping into the subject right away. Knowing the person can tell you a lot about how they learn and what they like and don't like in order to help you create a much better bond making it more fun to learn.
I also enjoy giving real life examples to whatever the topic may be and I hope to give knowledge to the student that they will remember forever.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently graduated high school and I was accepted into Santa Clara University to study psychology. Rather than going back to school this year, I have decided to take a GAP year in order to find myself through the investigation of children from different backgrounds and their education. I understand that I have a vocation that involves psychology, social justice and children. I am all for creating a more humane, fair and sustainable world.
I believe that even the smallest things, such as saying hello, or in this case tutoring another, is sharing experience and knowledge that can be spread throughout humanity to better the world.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
20-30$ per hour depending on the difficulty of the subject.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been volunteering at a preschool since I was 12 years old. This has taught me how to relate with children and how to understand how they think. I have also done peer teaching throughout school.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have mostly worked with students 1-7 years old and 12-17.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that is passionate about what they teach, that isn't just taking this job for the money. It should be someone who wants to teach and will allow themselves to be taught by others.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What area do I need help in? Am I open to having someone helping me learn a subject? What do I plan to accomplish?
