About

Currently I am a full time math teacher for Pinellas County school district. I've taught several different curriculums over my 6 years of teaching which include 6-8th grade remediation, 7th and 8th grade math, 7th grade advanced math, Algebra I, Algebra Carnegie, Geometry, Geometry Honors, and Algebra II. I was a tutor in college for College Algebra as well.

I bring experience directly from the classroom. I can provide meaningful individual or small group instruction across a range of curriculums. The success in my classroom is measured by my rapport with my students and their success on standardized tests. I enjoy working with students and my classes score above the county average every year.

I enjoy making a difference in student's loves and seeing them succeed.

Mr. Moritz is very personable, and teaches the material in a way that I understand it. I also like that he has real world experience, and is a math teacher at a local school. I’d recommend him as a math tutor to anyone!

Frequently asked questions

I like to get to know the student and his/her family during the first meeting. However, students have a variety of social tendencies. I adapt to the needs of my students. I want them to be comfortable. Students do not learn without knowing they are safe, cared for, and have room to fail. Their learning takes priority over everything. If they want to get to work right away, get to know each other along the way, or do something different to break the ice, I support their decision.
