Family Math Coach

Is your child falling behind in math? My child did! That’s why I am a math coach today, and she now enjoys math! In fact, she has graduated from college! Some students just need a little extra instruction and attention. I believe every student can learn math and in cultivating a growth mindset. As an educator, I focus on empowering students by strengthening their self-confidence and motivation to succeed where they once failed or doubted themselves. In my classroom, you will find a student-centered environment with use of researched based strategies, collaboration, and fun.

Math 5 -9 (Florida)

PK3 - 3rd grade (Florida)

Math 4-8 (Texas)

EC-4th Generalist (Texas)

Since I am a life-long learner, I recently earned a Master's of Education - Curriculum & Instruction (Math 6-8) with a 4.0 GPA from American College of Education. I chuckle as I remember graduating from high school in the National Honor Society and being on the Dean's list multiple times in college that "I still had it in me", in spite of not being a student for so , so many years. Hear me ... It's never too late!

TEXAS

I teach Pre-algebra, Algebra and Intermediate Algebra math courses online for a community college. In Texas, I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade. In addition, I’ve worked as an independent contractor Math Interventionist in K-12 schools and private schools; tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and adults since 1997. Many of my students have improved multiple letter grades as well as received commendations in math on standardized tests. Plus, I had the opportunity to review the Elementary Algebra textbook, one of Rice University's Open Stax resources.

In Florida, I’ve served as Regional Math Coach for elementary schools as well as a Title I math and reading Teacher for non-public schools.
