About

I have been an English teacher for two years and I love teaching students that they are capable of doing anything they set their mind to. I do my best to make content relatable and fun in order to enhance student engagement.

Frequently asked questions

When first working with a new student, I like to get to know them first (who they are, what they like, etc.) This helps me make content more relatable to them where tutoring is not something they necessarily feel they have to go to, but enjoy going to.

I have been teaching english language arts for over two years from 2019-2021. I have shadowed many teachers in the field since 2016. I work with many students one-on-one and in small groups to help enhance learning.

My standard price is $30 -$40 an hour, depending on driving distance.

I got started teaching in 2019 immedietly after graduating college. I spend most of my time planning lessons to create positive engagment in the classroom. When students are engaged, they are more likely to learn more.

I have worked with students with ADHD, ADD, ODD, depression, anxiety, mutism, and ELL's.

My adivice would be to hire a teacher that seems passionate to be teaching and a teacher you feel comfortable with. You want not only the teacher to help you, but you want to be comfortable recieving help from that teacher.

Questions students should ask are any questions that come to mind. The whole point of learning is to ask any and all questions. Questions are the best way to learn!
