What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our process begins with the parents and I discussing their areas of concerns and expectations for us working with their child.
Our first session with the child is a "get to know you" session for us and the child. During the session we share information via games and assessments about our likes/dislikes, personal goals for the school year, and rules.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 20 years experience in education, whether as a teacher, professional development coordinator, or assistant principal. I have worked with students in grades prek-8th in public, private, and Montessori school environments.
