I love helping people edit their work. As I was receiving my degree in English writing and Literature, I edited for publications and tutored college students in poetry writing. I am currently a middle school teacher at a classical school looking to tutor online full time.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I read what they're looking to edit, ask them what they're trying to achieve, then show them how to make changes that will be grammatically correct, read smoother, and organized well. If they haven't started yet, I assist with an initial outline including topic sentences, a thesis, and general organization.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in English writing and Literature, I am also currently a teacher at a classical liberal arts school. I have published my own work as well as assisted college age students to publish their work.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching directly out of college after receiving multiple job offers across the United States.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with gifted students, advanced students, middle school students with IEPs and 504s, and college age/level students. I only have not yet worked with elementary level students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am fond of the expansion of classical schools across the United States. Our education system is approaching the level of broken, and these school's missions are to combat the philosophy of education that is driving the lack of true education in many public schools.
