Kailey's Science Tutoring
About
I have a bachelor's degree in composite science, meaning I am able to teach chemistry, physics, earth science and biology. I am very patient and understand that not everyone learns the same way. As a tutor I will guide students with their assignments and clear up any confusing material.
I love working with students and helping them gain that "lightbulb" to understand the material. It is such a good feeling for both myself and the student when connections between materials are being made and grades are improving!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It's always important to begin the session by getting to know the student. Understand what they are struggling with and how I can help guide them. We will discover together learning styles that work well for that student to help create future success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's degree in composite science (covrs biology, chemistry, earth science and physics). I have worked in an elementary school guiding students with homework for two years. During my time in college I have been to multiple different school districts (middle-high school) guiding students by answering questions, helping with homework/labs and teaching new material.
How did you get started teaching?
I always loved to play "school" when I was a little kid, naturally I was always the one who would play the teacher. Growing up this passion continued, I was lucky to have great highschool teachers and college professors that led me to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ages kindergarden to fifth grade in a after school program where I helped with homework and activites. I have also worked with middle school and early high school with homework and learning new material.
