About

My service is tailored to the student, I will not impose MY way to study unless the student asks for it or it is. deemed necessary to succeed.

I work to achieve the students goals, via personal notes, formulas and cheat sheets.

I have had many experiences in my life where I wish that I would have ahd a tutor and mentor. Whether that be in a course, getting a job, getting a research position or getting into college. I am here for all of that beyond just academics.

I most enjoy seeing a student put effort. I do excpect reciprocity when working with a student. I definitley understand that classes seem unfair, and students do not always get what they deserve. I have dealt with these courses and really do enjoy doing the dirty and 'nitty gritty' work that puts you over the top. Working from full letter grade boosts to moving a C+ to a B-, all success is in the eyes of the student.

Eric B.

Mr. Csikai was very respectful and open to my ideas, even if they happened to be wrong. I always appreciate when a person is patient instead of forcing me to do it HIS WAY! We worked on my IB psychology where I was struggling to get a B. Now I moved to an A- and can actually understand what my teacher is talking about.

Frequently asked questions

I typically asks students or anyone looking for guidance in a course, AP tests and other standardize tests what they want to acheive. It all starts with your goal, whether that be shooting for an A+, a 4-5 on an AP or to be in the top 90th percentile in the ACT or SAT.

Once I get your goal, it becomes my goal to get YOU there.

Next starts with learning about how YOU do school, your study style, how you retain inforamtion and think out problems. This is vital for me as a tutor to adapt to best teach you. Everyone has a different stlye, I know that I do.

I can tutor in any test prep you require. In specific my specialties are Neuroscience, Psychology (as I am having a BS in Neuroscience), Biology, Chemistry and Statistics. I have received top marks throughout college in these course, regardless of difficulty. As for AP scoring, I have tested out, (meaning recieved highest marks to gain college course credit) in both Statistics and Biology.

For first time students, typical pricing is free for the first 4 hours of work together.

After this, pricing starts at 5$ per hour.

I started tutoring as a freshman in college. This started with simple peer tutoring and getting to aid my Organic Chemistry tutor with his clients.

I have worked with clients my own age 20 and up, down to middle schoolers, ages 12-18 the majority of the time.

I have experience teaching kids with disadvantaged background as well as learning and attention disabilities.

A recent event that I will always remember is the day my grandmother passed from Alzheimer's. I loved getting to be with here in her life, and remind everyone to cheerish their love ones. Every minute counts and little things end up being big things.

Advice I would give when hiring a teacher is to look at if this person fits you and how you learn. That is exactly why my first hours are free. It is only fair of me to give you, the student, the opportunity to decide if you can do better and actually learn without the financial penalty.

Students should definitley ask teachers questions and specifically what that need from a session.

In fact, it would be even harder for me to try to guide you without your input. I understand it is hard to know what you need when you feel lost in a class or studying for a test.

Simply telling that is great for not just the teacher, but for you.
