About
I've been tutoring and designing courses privately for 10+ years now in the field of Science, particularly Chemistry. Professionally I am a S.T.R.E.A.M Demonstrator and NXplorer Facilitator for Shell. I have a BSc. Degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Analytical Chemistry and 4 years of experience in the industrial field as an analytical and environmental laboratory technician.
All my experience has enabled me to create a fun and engaging learning environment for my students - which has proven to produce excellent results! (See my 'Reviews' Section).
I haven't stopped there - recently I've completed a course with National Geographic and am in pursuit of other Courses that have intrigued my interest in Next Genaration Learning. I even won a Special Prize locally in our Ministry's Teachers' Virtual Curriculum Competition for my content.
My approach to teaching is definitely unique as I produce educational videos and use interactive, animated lectures to capture the interest of my students. My lessons are geared to make learning fun and I design them to meet the needs of each student. In addition to facilitating fun learning, I focus on exam preparation where I teach students how to answer questions effectively. Being a past E-marker for the Caribbean Examinations Council, I have gained experience which equips me to help guide my students in improving their answering techniques so they can achieve full marks.

I am passionate about creating captivating, next generation educational content for my students. In my lesson planning and teaching strategies my goal is always to inspire learning - not force it.
The real reward and joy however comes from helping students recognize and achieve their full potential - by illuminating their own passions. I believe that every person has their own unique, God-given gifts and talents to help make this world a better place. I love that I get to assist my learners in their journey to discovering their purpose.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently bumped into a past student who told me she is now pursuing her degree in Chemistry to become a teacher. She said my teaching inspired her and wanted to impact the lives of other kids as she has seen me do. She was thankful for the persistent help which resulted in her getting all As! (Grade 1 in CSEC) It made me tear up and realise that as teachers, even when we don't think it, we're making an impact in a child's life! When it is done right, we create a ripple effect of hope for generations to come.
