Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I then help the students improve these habits and organize new strategies to strengthen weaker areas and practice utilizing examples and different aids to improve confidence levels when approaching questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my Associates in Applied Sciences and Bachelor's in Biological Sciences. I've also tutored students for 3 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I start at a flat rate of $35
How did you get started teaching?
I started out tutoring kids science while I was still in Highschool until college. I would help prepare them for their highschool placement tests which also helped me continue practicing the foundation topics for my science areas as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've tutored kids from 2nd to 9th grade. I've also had some experience tutoring in college.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be prepared to become more comfortable and confident in how you approach your studies. I'll help you work through things like testing anxiety, concept grasping and help improve study habits.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Don't be afraid to ask questions if you are unsure of anything. At the same time, before asking a question, think about if you understand a part of a concept and specify the area you need clarification on.
