I love helping students truly understand both Math and Science. I have tutored students in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry and Physics over the past 15 years.

I also have had the privilege of helping students raise their ACT scores through tutoring sessions and workshops.

I started tutoring in Tennessee face to face back in 2010. In 2020 I began tutoring via Zoom (due to Covid) and found that I really enjoy the convenience of online tutoring. I believe we can accomplish just as much without having to travel. Thus, I still tutor online and I have relocated to Florida as well.

Additionally, I have 20 years of classroom teaching experience.

    Lisa is amazing. She was flexible and accommodating around my daughters schedule. They met for two one-hour sessions as a last-minute crash course before my daughter took the ACT. Our goal was two points to reach 100% Bright Futures. My daughters score jumped four points! She had improvements in both Math and English.     I have a Bachelors in Biology with 15 years of teaching experience. I have also been tutoring since 2010.

    Subject Tutoring is $75 an hour; ACT/SAT Tutoring is $90 an hour
    After graduating with a degree in Biology in December 2003, God opened the door for me to start teaching mid year at a small Christian school. Within the first week I knew I was supposed to be in education. I have always loved school and learning and now I get to share that passion with others.
    I have helped advanced students score a 35 on a section of the ACT. And I have helped students that struggle with standardized testing raise their score to a 24, to reach 75% Bright Futures. Last summer, the biggest composite score increase was from a 20 to a 25 and another student from a 25 to a 29. Recently, I helped a student go from a 27 to a 31 and get into their dream college. The largest single section improvement was from a 29 to a 35 in the science portion. I have also helped numerous students improve their grade in Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2.
    Just recently I helped a student go from failing a test to earning a 98 on her next quiz in algebra 2!
    If you truly want to improve, it is worth it to not hire the cheapest tutor. You get what you pay for and experience matters. Also, you have to be willing to put in the extra work.
