Fearless Math Tutoring
About
I want to show you that you don't need to be afraid of math. Some of the most difficult math concepts and processes are already a part of you. You do them in your head every day, without even realizing it. I simply need to show you how to decode those concepts and how to express them.
Einstein once said that 'mathematics is the poetry of logical thinking.' That's what I love about math and physics; it's so much more than just numbers on a page. It's the ability to reason and think creatively. And even though it's a man-made construct, we can use it to describe the entire universe.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Let's find out what you struggle with and more importantly, why. Most people either struggle with a mathematical concept, or they struggle with the ability to express it on paper. Once we understand your struggle, then we can correct, practice and refine.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught. I have studied, practiced, and learned Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Tensor Calculus. I believe it helps to learn from someone who has been there, and had to struggle and persevere, and knows how frustrating it can be.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I believe skill in mathematics can be reduced to two important processes: Understanding a concept, and using that concept to find solutions. You need to first figure out which process you struggle with. If you don't understand a mathematical concept, it just means it needs to be explained to you in a simpler way. If you understand the concept, but still aren't finding solutions, it just means you need more practice.
