My greatest success is that my students succeed. They succeed because instruction is individually designed to meet each learner's needs and goals. Even helping students with homework and college entrance essays, is instruction tailored to their needs.

Building long-lasting and caring relationships with students, and with the parents of younger students, has been one of the greatest joys of my years tutoring. Watching students learn, gain confidence, grow in academic independence, and having them stand proudly knowing they can do it, is the essence of my professional life.

in addition to having earned a PhD and doing university teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, I hold valid certification as a k-12 Reading Specialist, K-8 Language Arts Teacher, and a 6-12 English Teacher. Each of these certifications has been used to uphold full-time teaching in public and private schools.
