Biology Tutor
About
I am open to free phone call consultations!
My name is Yasmina S. and I am currently pursuing a degree in Medicine at FAU College of Medicine. I have always been passionate about teaching and helping others achieve their goals. I take a personalized approach, investing time in understanding my students and tailoring my assistance to empower them as their own advocates.
I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology, and a minor in Biomedical Research. While at UCLA, I tutored students in various science and language classes, such as French and Arabic, and mentored them in research methodologies.
Currently, I am applying for a surgical subspecialty residency and have completed a year-long research fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. I have excelled in medical school courses, received induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, and performed extremely well on my USMLEs, which has allowed me to apply for a surgical subspecialty.
I have a lot of experience navigating the pre-med process, ranging from the MCAT to AAMC applications. I am willing to work with college and high school students in all biology, anatomy, and microbiology courses, as I have completed them at the medical school level. I can also assist high school students with their common applications.
I am flexible and willing to help you plan your next steps in life in a manner that is comfortable yet successful for you. I am available at any time of the day and can guide you step-by-step through the entire process, providing examples to help you maximize your chances of being accepted into medical school.
