Working as a higher education administrator for over 17 years has shown me the great need for people willing to provide occasional tutoring and coaching to propel others.
I hold a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Online Teaching and Learning as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance. I travel and work from a remote office helping my students.
I have classroom and online teaching experience but prefer working in one-on-one tutoring or small or group scenarios. I have taught workshops on topics such as: leadership, college search process, college transfer, test taking strategies, study skills and customer service.
I am a strong advocate for lifelong learning and strengthening leadership skills. I worked in college admissions for many years and love to coach and teach people of all ages. I can help goal set and match resources for those wishing to pursue training, education and development opportunities. I have substantial experience in program development and administration including instructional and curriculum design.
I am also dedicated to helping people of all ages to build their basic math skills up to introductory algebra. I am especially strong at math concepts traditionally taught in grades 4-7. I was the kid that struggled with math but had dedicated teachers that stuck by me and I want to do the same for others.
My music teaching strengths are basic music (k-12 concepts) and introductory music theory. I am also willing to help with coursework in art appreciation, humanities and liberal studies.
