About
Providing one-on-one tutoring catered to the way your student learns. There is not just one path to the correct answer.
Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of teaching/tutoring students across the United States, Europe and Asia in English, Math, Science and Social Studies. For the 2020-2021 school year, I have hosted learning pods for homeschooling and special needs students in grades 1-5. This opportunity as allowed me to provide unique learning opportunities intergrating music, video, art and educational gaming into the learning process as yet another avenue for reaching students and unlocking potential.
I love helping students reach that moment of understanding where all the pieces come together. Whether in math and science with problem solving or English and Social Studies with the world around them suddenly opening up; there is a new level of pride and confidence each student achieves when learning makes sense.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
It is so important to build a rapport with new students and allow them to share their strenghts and opportunities. Asking for help can make a student feel vulnerable. My goal is to provide a safe environment where there are no wrong answers, but only steps that help us uncover solutions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had a lengthy career around training and education, both in the classroom and the corporate environment. Most recently, I have expanded my training to include working with special needs students.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Every student learns differently. I recommend finding a teacher/tutor that is able to adjust to how you learn.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should take the time to reread questions or directions and ask themselves, "What are they asking me to do?"
Instead of saying "I can't", think about all the times you can say "I can". Determine what steps you can complete, where you get stuck and what your options are. This is a great way to show a teacher where you need guidance and support.
