Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Not too long ago...there was a student, with absolutely no command of the english language, in a class where I work as a substitute teacher. I was reviewing the guidelines for a quizz, asked the class, if they would out of kindness, allow me two minutes to explain the information in spanish. Just two minutes...They all agreed, it took me those two minutes to quickly explain what was needed. That student scored minus one, almost a perfect score! I shared with the class the achievement, we all applauded him...
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Trust your instinct, would you be able to really learn with this help? then, try your best! Time is precious.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I really willing to learn?...
