I like to find a way to make math relatable to each of my students. I find if you can relate it to an aspect of their live's then the learning process becomes more engaging.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to learn a little bit about each of my students and build my tutoring around their interests and needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated FAU with a Bachelor's in Mathematics Education. Over a decade of time spent in the classroom working with students of every level.
How did you get started teaching?
My high school math teacher inspired me and after working in the engineering field for awhile I left to pursue a career in education. I love everything about it.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with student who hated the sight of math to student who challenged my own thinking and capabilities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Spending quality time with my 4 month old daughter. I look forward to teaching her about math.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they are not just doing your homework for you but actually getting you to understand the material. Math builds on itself. You need to know yesterday lesson to succeed today.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you give each question the proper time and effort on your own before you have asked for help.
