About

I strive to make math as enjoyable as possible and I have succeeded in helping numerous students see that math does not have to be boring, resulting in a happier and more attentive mindset and most importantly, improving productivity. I have tutored virtually every level from shapes to calculus and I will provide personalized notes with no extra charge on top of the base hourly rate.

I take great pride in being able to say that I am helping to shape the future generation and show them that no matter how much work has to be done, reaching the solution of a problem whether it is math related or not makes it completely worth it. I also love working with people. I have worked with children as young as 6 years old up to adults around the age of 50 throughout my entire college career and I have never had any problems with creating healthy habits and mindsets in every one of my students.

Frequently asked questions

Typically when I work for a new student, the first thing I do is figure out how much they know prior to tutoring. In my experience, most students are having trouble because they lack fundamentals and do problems based off of memorization instead of understanding. Once the fundamentals have been revised, I then figure out which method of learning best fits each specific student. Some students learn better through hearing something being taught, seeing it being written down or even through basic trial and error. Then, I request that the student send me some upcoming problems and I formulate a teaching plan based on all of the afformentioned variables.

I have worked for a tutoring institution for the past year or so, and have seen great success in improving the grades of my students. Other than that, I have done work with many of my classmates throughout my senior year of highschool and my entire college career and I have seen similar results. I also am a senior in mechanical engineering and plan to graduate in spring 2024

Due to the range of difficulty that each math subject falls under, I price each session depending on which subcategory of math needs to be taught. Any potential student can send me their level of understanding in a subcategory and I will be able to send them a price in a timely matter.

I started teaching after helping some friends with their math homework. Many people told me that I should pursue teaching math on the side and after doing so I realized I actually enjoy it.

I have worked with students from every background and age. I also have experience in working with students with cognitive disabilities.

One recent event I am very proud of was being able to apply what I've learned in my engineering courses to improve certain aspects of my life, saving a lot of money on mechanics and electricians.

One piece of advice I would give to a student would be to find a tutor that is very confident in the area that they require help in and to not feel afraid to switch tutors to somebody else if it just isn't working out. Math is extremely important in many careers, from being the manager of a restaurant to working out rocket science problems, which I can confidently say from experience.

Every student should tell their tutor exactly what they need help in and they should not be afraid to express to their tutor if they feel as if their method of teaching isn't working for them and if they should try something else. Tutors work for you, and the whole point of getting a tutor is to strive to not needing one as soon as possible.
