The English Lounge

Hello! My name is Yeva, and I am the founder of The English Lounge. I am a 22-year-old language coach with native fluency in both English and Russian, having been fully bilingual since the age of three. I have lived and grown up here in the United States for the past 11 years. Because I completed my middle school, high school, and overall integration firsthand, I combine native-level American cultural fluency with a personal understanding of bilingual learning patterns.

I first discovered my love for education years ago by tutoring friends and family in my community. Later, my first formal professional role was working as an instructor at Kumon, where I successfully spent years teaching students both English and math. This extensive professional training taught me how to carefully assess each student's unique starting point, break down complex concepts into digestible steps, and remain highly patient with individual learning speeds.

What I love most about teaching is watching my students build real independence. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a newcomer go from feeling nervous about speaking to confidently handling their own daily interactions in America.

My business stands out because we completely skip boring academic grammar drills and focus strictly on practical conversational survival skills. My special teaching method uses a highly visual, situational approach. We practice real-world scenarios—like navigating local stores, filling out official forms, and casual everyday conversation—so you can quickly build the confidence to navigate life in the US on your own.
