Each student is different with different skillset. For example some are naturally good in math and some are good in language arts. So Create a list of your strengths and weaknesses. Note down your goals and objectives regarding getting tutored. Share it before you start tutoring so that tutor can customize the lessons to your need.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should try to know whether their tutor is a subject matter expert. Having teaching certification does not always mean that tutor is an expert. Students should try to understand whether Tutor has love for the topic and teaching.
