What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I utilize diagnostic teaching. I assess what level the student is on and begin teaching from that level until the desired level is reached . I utilize a plethora of multi sensory and meta cognitive methods in addition to the most current research based methods.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the public system for 20 plus years as a certified teacher. Subjects I teach include English, English for speakers of other language; Writing Composition; Language Arts; Reading and History. I am certified as a Special Education teacher and reading specialist

Pricing depends on the work entailed - if I have to plan lessons.

Since high school I wanted to be a teacher

students in pre school ; elementary school, middle school, high school
and adults. Regular education and special education

Find a certified teacher only
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
ask the teacher where, and when he or she taught the subject and which methods the teacher utilizes.
