Roberto Scott
About
Hello,
My name: Roberto Scott, is unique in a number of ways: I was born in La Paz, Bolivia, to a Bolivian father from Spanish and Scottish ancestry and an Australian mother from Irish ancestry.
I lived in both countries (Bolivia and Australia) before coming to the USA at age 12. Thus, my schooling from middle through high school and college was here in the USA.
Although I have a master’s degree in ELA, I minored in comparative literature (Spanish and even French and Portuguese in translation) and taught some bilingual classes to students from Central and South America, and Haiti.
I enjoyed teaching for fifteen years before I retired and now find that I miss the connection and the opportunity to positively influence young minds in sharing a wide and open world view through multiple and diverse cultures.
A shorter schedule, more individualized to students is what I am interested in now.
