At Zaniac, pre-K - 8thgrade kids discover how much fun Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) learning can be. Forget drills and repetition. Zaniac's fun enrichment programs engage kids in creative, conceptual problem solving that builds confidence and helps them succeed in school. Zane Math offers a customized and measurable approach to get kids caught up or ahead in math. Kids can learn how to code—going from true beginners to writing custom games in Python or Java. Game-Based Learning using MinecraftTM capitalizes on the love kids already have for the game to teach concepts ranging from biology to physics. We use modular LEGO® systems designed for education in our engineering and robotics courses to bridge the gap between theory and practice in engineering and in Kerbal Space Program students use an aerospace simulator to learn about physics, orbital mechanics and aerospace engineering. We also have courses in 3D Printing, 3D Game Design, App creation, Web Design, GarageBand, Chess and Typing. We work with small groups of 1 instructor for 6 students and we group kids by age/grade or mastery level, which allows us to tailor our camps to your child’s needs and keep them challenged. Best of all, we provide all the equipment and materials needed.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our Zane Math and Zane Reading programs are designed to be customized to every child’s needs, we start with an Assessment of the student’s math and reading skills. The assessment takes between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the child’s performance, it is given in a relaxed and non-stress environment. The assessment will help us place him/her at a math level and identify the needs for reading based on his/her current abilities. Based on that level, we begin working on the concepts they are missing or need reinforcement, each student works at his/her own pace and our focus is mastery of concept before moving on to the next concept, which is perfect for students who need to catch up or that wish to move ahead faster. Our Math program is based on the Singapore Math method and focuses on computation, analytical and critical thinking skills.

Our tuition is monthly for 4 once-a-week classes of 90 minutes, prices vary depending on the program that the student is enrolled in. Zane Math and Reading have a monthly tuition of $229 and our technology programs range between $199 to $249 per month.
