I think it's important for people to meet their goals, and also have fun while learning. I like students to have freedom about what content they use in class so it's not boring, and they can use it in everyday life. I like to focus on pronunciation and vocabulary because this helps a lot with conversation and basic comprehension. I can also help with writing composition and proofreading. Let's not forget using music, movies, and current events as tools to keep learning interesting.
