Starting with a love of teaching writing and humanities. I gradually developed more content knowledge across departments.
What types of students have you worked with?
All levels and educational needs! Really!
My specialty would be students who need remediation of math or grammar/writing skills.
Also, critical thinking, communication, and planning/organization are favorites.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We will work together to see how problem solving and creativity go hand in hand. Mistakes are good. That's where the brain really starts to learn the task at hand.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Have specific examples you do not understand.
