I believe in having fun while learning! I try to accomplish that with each student by understanding the barriers to individual success and overcoming them in a slow yet methodical way. Through open conversation, repetition, and fun ways to remember words/phrases, I'm confident that you will be speaking Spanish proficiently in no time!
Patience is a virtue and that is what I offer. Combined with a keen awareness that we should never compare our abilities and level of understanding to that of our friends or siblings, I can help you reach a goal that is attainable for YOU!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to spend some time getting to know the student. Specifically, I try to find out what they are having difficulty with, what they would like to achieve, and how quickly they would like to be successful. I do not believe that learning Spanish is a sprint, but rather a marathon. You cannot rush success - it takes time and persistence!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate minor in the Spanish Language from Clemson University and I live in South Florida. My spouse is Hispanic and many of my friends are from Spain, Central/South America, and Cuba.
