Eva’s English Tutoring
About
Although I am one person, I strive to make each and every one of my students reach their fullest potential, even if they do not always see it in themselves.
I love teaching and watching students finally understand a topic that they have struggled with. I know what it is like to not understand something and then finally get it, truly the best feeling and totally validating!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would typically ask them what they believe their strengths and weakness are. Then start working on the assignment that they need help with, that is the best way for me to see what kind of learner you are and which areas of a certain subject you need help with. Do not worry, complety judgment free.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have tutored an entire class of second graders, elementary school students in fourth grade, and freshman students in A.P World History.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$10-$15/hr
How did you get started teaching?
I have always loved to teach and I originally began teaching through a tutoring project at my school.
What types of students have you worked with?
All types of students with various learning disabilities, reading and math levels. I can work with nearly everybody.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I think an event I am most fond of was helping my fellow peers in their classes as much as I could. I love to teach and help people see their full potential.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for somebody who is not just going to teach you something, but actually helps you understand and grow as a person.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your biggest problem areas in a specific topic, walking in with a vague idea of what you need help on will not benefit you and may actually make you more confused.
