About
I try to add fun to math and I encourage the use of calculators when doing basic math for a complex problem. But I'll also teach a student how to solve problems without a calculator if the problem is a basic math question
I enjoy seeing how much progress the student as made. Once they understand the material and can do it on their own without asking question, that's what I enjoy the most.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I have them introduce themselves and I introduce myself. I ask them about their interests and hobbies, etc. Then once we are acquainted, I would ask them if they need more homework help or just extra assistance with math, once I have that information, I will do what is needed, for example, what specifically do they need help with? Algebra, basic math, calculus, etc. With children students, I'm more upbeat and energized and encouraging and try to be fun. With adults, I try to be more professional, but stay positive and upbeat.

I volunteered at Kittrell Job Corps at 19 years old in 2018, teaching highschool dropouts highschool math.
How did you get started teaching?
I got started teaching simply by volunteering when I can. I love to teach math.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children, teens, and adults. The oldest student I have taught was 22 and I was 19
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pick a math teacher that's going to be fun. Some people struggle with math already, we don't need a teacher that's going to be boring and strict as well. Make sure they are fun, make sure they are okay with you using any method as long as they show work, and make sure that they encourage the use of calculators to make simple basic math steps: +-^/ much faster.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you need a tutor?
